Bloggers Block

Good Morning
I hope you're having a lovely day.

So I'm currently laying in my bed writing up this post after it has come to me at 10:20pm on the 4th April that I'm stuck in the most horrible situation of Bloggers Block. If you didn't know what bloggers block is, then it's pretty much the worst feeling you can possibly go through as a blogger. Feel constantly unmotivated and uninspired to carry on doing what you love to do. Now as a daily blogger, this feeling well and truly sucks. I have so many ideas jotted down in my notebook, but I feel so unmotivated to sit down and get typing. I also currently feel like this with University, so don't you worry!

While I'm sat here debating whether to start writing up this blog post this evening so it's ready to go live at 7am in the morning, or to actually say stuff it; I'm going to write this post up once I have woken up the next day, I'm also thinking about how shit I am as a blogger. Constantly thinking about whether or not if I am good enough or whether my blog is enough or if my content is absolutely rubbish. Do you know what I mean?

However, instead of leaving this post till tomorrow once I have slept, and feel so much better as I've felt exhausted since 3pm; I'm sat here writing this post instead because I'll feel even worse in the morning if my blog post hasn't gone live at 7am. As usual, this horrible feeling of guilt; but I bring it on myself as I know no one will mind if one of my posts goes up a little later in the day.

I'm constantly thinking, should I take a break from blogging for a little while; go back to blogging once a week just for a couple of weeks so I get out of this bloggers block. Or shall I continue to post every single day even though I'm feeling absolutely rubbish. But I still continue to carry on because it's what I do. My blog is my life, it shows that even when I'm feeling like this I just keep going; pretty much like Dory. But meanwhile all of this is going on, I feel like writing a blog post can be a chore and I don't want my blog to be that way.

So if you're reading this and you've experience bloggers block, please tell me how you feel inspired and motivated again.

I'll see you soon

  1. I definitely feel you girl! I've had bloggers block too and I ALWAYS feel like my content isn't good enough. I want to step up my game with my photography, editing and just my blog in general. I think a break is needed especially if you feel like you don't want to post for the sake of it and would rather write up something that you feel better about when you're actually feeling motivated and inspired. I only feel like that when I read other people's blog posts and it's kind of inspiring to me! Love your blog and posts though lovely! x

  2. Honest to god after reading this I admire you so so much. I can imagine being a daily blogger is a hard thing because I'm a very new blogger and I post occasionally and sometimes I really don't know what topic to talk about but if I need inspiration I normally head onto Twitter and its packed with blog posts that help me write! Even if nobody reads your post, the whole concept of the blog(in my case) is just to write and if that starting to make you unhappy/displeased/exhausted then it's important to stop because you are doing your blog to make you happy not to stop the blog because it becomes to stressful.I would simply just take a break(even if it is only for a couple of days) and your readers will understand your reasoning. Also, I agree with the idea of being not good enough to continue because I feel like no one reads my blog because I only started it in late December last year and I don't make frequent posts and the reason why I made my blog is to connect with people and i haven't really connected with many people yet. X

  3. I don't think there's anything wrong with taking a break! And you're definitely not a bad blogger - 6k on Twitter ;) We all follow ya for a reason. Don't force yourself - your readers won't go anywhere! X

  4. This is something that happened to me recently and I also ended up writing a post about it late at night! The best way to get your motivation back is to step away for a while. Something that also helped me was to read my older posts. It made me see how far I had come!
